Bid Tournament Eligibility
Participation in the Regional Bid Tournament is limited to teams that compete in NCVA Power League.
Teams that have already earned a bid in the American Division or a higher division through a National Qualifier or the NCVA region are not eligible to participate. If a team earns a Freedom bid at NCVA Region Championships, they may participate to upgrade to an American bid.
Teams from Championship and Challenger divisions are eligible.

NCVA Code of Conduct
All attendees are required to abide by the following codes of conduct and behavior. Violations of these codes may include removal from the event in addition to potential penalties against the team you are affiliated with including, but not limited to removing the team from the event and awarding last place points.

Venues
This year the NCVA Sunset Cup will be held SAFE Credit Union Convention Center:
Please observe the following requirements while attending the tournament:
- All attendees must be on an Official Team Roster or be registered through our Guest Registration system.
- Chairs are provided around the courts for attendees.
- NO outside food is allowed in the convention centers.

About the NCVA Bid Tournament
The NCVA is pleased to introduce the NCVA Regional Bid Tournament, which will provide additional opportunities for teams to earn bids to the USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championship.
The Regional Bid Tournament will be held on May 8-9 at the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center in Sacramento and will be open to eligible teams in the 13s through 17s age divisions.
Available Bids
The following bids will be awarded through the NCVA Regional Bid Tournament:
- 13s: (1) American Bid
- 14s: (1) American Bid and (1) Freedom Bid
- 15s: (1) American Bid and (1) Freedom Bid
- 16s: (1) American Bid and (1) Freedom Bid
- 17s: (1) American Bid and (1) Freedom Bid
Eligibility

Seeding
Teams will be seeded into the Regional Bid Tournament based on their final finish at Region Championships or their seeding heading into Region Championships if their division has not yet competed.
This ensures that teams are rewarded for their performance throughout the Power League season while providing a dedicated event focused on bid qualification.
Refund Policy
Teams that register for the Regional Bid Tournament and subsequently earn a bid through a National Qualifier or the NCVA Region before the event will receive a full refund of their tournament entry fee.
Why the Regional Bid Tournament?
The addition of the Regional Bid Tournament provides another pathway for teams to qualify for the USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championship. By creating a dedicated bid event following Region Championships, more teams will have the opportunity to compete for available bids in a highly competitive championship environment.
Team Check In
Check-in at the Tournament Desk on your first day of play.
NO Friday Check-In
Team Check-In:
- Please check in online in TM2Sign.
- One Coach or Team Rep per team is allowed to approach the Tournament Desk to pick up the team bag upon arrival on your first day of play.
Guest Registration:
- Pick up your wristbands upon arrival at your assigned playing site on your first day of play.
Team Rosters
Rosters are open for editing until 5:00 PM, Tuesday, May 3, 2027.
Building your rosters requires use of both SportsEngine and TM2
Step 1: SportsEngine
Confirm that all your players/coaches on your roster are assigned to your club.
- In your “Directory” search for each Player and Coach.
- Click on their name, then click “Memberships”
- You should see your Club Name in their Memberships. If you do not see your club name, you will need to send them a club assignment request. You cannot build your roster in TM2 until all players and coaches are members of your club in SportsEngine.
Step 2: TM2
Once all of your players and coaches are members of your Club in SportsEngine, you can build your rosters in TM2.
- Click your “Members” tab.
- Click “Import member”.
- Click the big green button.
- Once the members are imported, start building your roster by searching the names of your players and coaches.
- Please note, if you have previously built your roster, you need to delete it and start fresh.
- There may be multiple accounts for each person that will populate; be sure to choose the account that says “Has USAV Membership” in green.
- Once you have your rosters built, click on “Validate”, and the system should validate your roster.
Housing
Booking options are available through Hotels4Teams. However, the NCVA Sunset Cup is NOT a stay to play event, teams are free to make their
own accommodations.
